Although our designs and aesthetic are always evolving, our signature style is the foundation of everything we do. A mix of beauty and practicality, every artisanal piece of furniture is inspired from nature and is always textured to allow our community to feel like they have something directly from nature and always imperfect in material to make it more real and true to its origin. Urban Kind focuses on earthy and natural value of materials using Japandi design style which is a mix of the Japanese concept of “Wabi Sabi “ beauty in imperfection and Scandinavian design both rooted in minimalism and comfort.

Our name refers to the people we are designing for. The ones who crave stripping away the excess from their lives and truly connect with their roots. They are looking for the most basic feeling of comfort at home. Our community are looking for products that are designed for humankind. While they are accustomed to urban living, they still yearn to feel more in touch with their human basic senses hence the name UrbanKind.
